ICS is pleased to announce that Chief Technology Officer Travis Hayes has achieved his CISSP. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is an independent information security certification granted by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, also known as (ISC)². There are currently only one hundred and forty thousand people with this certification worldwide. With Travis’ latest achievement, ICS now has two employees that hold this certification.
The CISSP certification covers the fundamental elements of the entire cybersecurity field – from security and risk management, to communication and network security, to security testing and operations. It ensures that a certified professional understands all aspects of information security and, most critically, how the elements of the information security environment they work on will interact with the overall organizational environment. The certification was created to ensure professionals in computer security have standardized knowledge of the field. Earning the CISSP proves you have what it takes to effectively design, implement, and manage a best-in-class cybersecurity program.
“Part of my responsibility is to maintain the cyber resilience of the business and the ICS infrastructure, while ensuring the security and integrity of our customers’ data.” states Travis. “From a security point of view, this is a big deal for our customers. Few other MSPs (Managed Service Providers) have one, let alone two CISSP certified people on staff. Having multiple CISSPs at ICS will allow us to raise security awareness for our customers and help them to implement strong cybersecurity programs.”
