Our mission at ICS is to make a difference in our employees’ lives, our customer’s businesses and the community. We’ve built our ICS Cares program to enable ICS employees to find the time to give back to their communities. We work with local charities and organizations to find opportunities to serve. The ICS Cares program is a way that we try to give back to our local communities in Syracuse, Binghamton, Ithaca and Auburn, MA.
For the past several years, ICS has adopted a family from Mom’s House in Binghamton and have provided toys, clothing and other items for families in need. Mom’s House is a non-profit organization that empowers single parents to complete their education by providing free NYS licensed childcare in an environment that nurtures both the parent and the child. The Johnson City location is one of seven Mom’s Houses chartered nationally by their parent corporation, Mom’s House Inc. in Johnstown, PA. The program at Mom’s House is geared to give parents the greatest possible opportunity to succeed. Parents are provided workshops in life skills, parenting techniques and nutrition. Parents are encouraged to continue their education beyond high school to a level where they are fully employable, thus allowing them to be financially independent. This year has seen an increased amount of hardship.
ICS is still adopting a family, but we wanted to take it a step further and be able to have an impact on additional families. We are reaching out to our community to join us. ICS will be collecting donations for Mom’s House through Friday, December 10th at our Endicott location, 111 Grant Ave, Endicott NY 13760.
We encourage you to help us change lives this holiday season! Check out the list of needed items here. We have teamed up with Cops, Kids & Toys in Ithaca. Since the early 1980’s Cops, Kids & Toys has grown. Cops, Kids & Toys volunteers work throughout the year raising funds. You may have seen them collecting returnable bottles and cans at the Grass Roots Festival or helping at the Cornell Dump & Run Sale. The program continues with the goal of giving back to children in need and has been able to help more families in Tompkins County over the years. This year, ICS has partnered up with Cops, Kids & Toys! We have a donation bin at the ICS office located at 123 W State St, Ithaca, NY 14850. The Ithaca office will be accepting donations until Friday, December 10th between 1-5pm, Monday – Thursday.
Our Syracuse location has teamed up with PEACE, a non-profit community-based organization with the mission of helping people in the community realize their potential for becoming self-sufficient. PEACE seeks to help people become more self-sufficient by strengthening families, improving the conditions in which people live, encouraging people to own a stake in their own community, and developing partnerships with other organizations, businesses, and individuals to support these efforts. Unfortunately, many of the families do not have the opportunity to be sponsored for holiday gifts. ICS wants to help these families by donating a collection of items such as socks, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets, gift cards, etc., to PEACE. These items will then be given to families! We are asking other members of the Onondaga Community to help us! All donations can be dropped off at our Syracuse location, 6007 Fair Lakes Rd East Syracuse, NY 13057. We will be collecting donations until Friday, December 10th.
Our Auburn, MA location has teamed up with the Auburn Police Department to collect donations for Toys For Tots. Donation ideas include toys and gifts for children between the ages of 8 and 16. The Secret Santa volunteers work with the Auburn School Department to identify children and families in need. Toys are needed for all ages, but especially for children in the older age group. Suggested items for older kids include movie passes, books, sports balls, hand held video games and gift cards. Unwrapped toys and monetary donations can be dropped off at our Auburn location, One Westec Driven Auburn, MA 01501 until Friday, December 10th.
